Fructose: (Mainly apples, bananas, and blueberries)
Fructose is very beneficial to dieting and aiding in weight loss
Substitute complex carbs such as oats in the morning, for an apple
Why? Because an apple will cause less of a spike in blood sugar and norepinephrine (causing less of a mood increase, then crash)
This is from my experience too.
Eating ½ cup oats in the morning, I have energy for 1.5 hours then crash.
VERSUS: Eating a ½ cup blueberries and ½ apple, my mood stayed steady for 4 hours.
1 banana in the morning is a good substitute for your complex carbs during breakfast.
Eating fructose sugars before you are going to be ACTIVE is the best way to utilize them for energy.
DO NOT GO OVERBOARD ON EATING FRUITS!
This is when eating fruits become counterproductive…
I wouldn’t recommend over 1 apple and a cup of berries per day.
