Fructose > Complex Carbs

Fructose: (Mainly apples, bananas, and blueberries)

  • Fructose is very beneficial to dieting and aiding in weight loss

  • Substitute complex carbs such as oats in the morning, for an apple

Why? Because an apple will cause less of a spike in blood sugar and norepinephrine (causing less of a mood increase, then crash)


This is from my experience too.


Eating ½ cup oats in the morning, I have energy for 1.5 hours then crash.


VERSUS: Eating a ½ cup blueberries and ½ apple, my mood stayed steady for 4 hours.


1 banana in the morning is a good substitute for your complex carbs during breakfast.


Eating fructose sugars before you are going to be ACTIVE is the best way to utilize them for energy.


  • DO NOT GO OVERBOARD ON EATING FRUITS!

This is when eating fruits become counterproductive…


I wouldn’t recommend over 1 apple and a cup of berries per day.
